Heartbreak Hotel – Música

“Heartbreak Hotel” is a song recorded by American singer Elvis Presley. It was released as a single on January 27, 1956, Presley’s first on his new record label RCA Victor. It was written by Tommy Durden and Mae Boren Axton.
A newspaper article about the suicide of a lonely man who jumped from a hotel window inspired the lyrics. Axton presented the song to Presley in November 1955 at a country music convention in Nashville. Presley agreed to record it, and did so on January 10, 1956, in a session with his band, The Blue Moon Boys, the guitarist Chet Atkins, and the pianist Floyd Cramer. “Heartbreak Hotel” comprises an eight-bar blues progression, with heavy reverberation throughout the track, to imitate the character of Presley’s Sun recordings.

Heartbreak Hotel

Elvis Presley Heatrbreak Hotel Live (1956`)

Well, since my baby left me
Well, I found a new place to dwell
Well, it’s down at the end of Lonely Street
At Heartbreak Hotel

Where I’ll be, I’ll be so lonely baby
Well, I’m so lonely
I’ll be so lonely, I could die

Oh, and although it’s always crowded
You still can find some room
For broken hearted lovers
To cry there in their gloom

They’ll be so, they’ll be so lonely baby
They get so lonely
They’re so lonely, they could die

Now, the bell hop’s tears keep flowin’
And the desk clerk’s dressed in black
Well, they’ve been so long on Lonely Street
They’ll never, never look back

And they get so, they get so lonely baby
They get so lonely
They get so lonely, they could die

Well, now, if your baby leaves you
And you got a tale to tell
Well, just take a walk down Lonely Street
To Heartbreak Hotel

Where you will be, you will be so lonely baby
You will be lonely
You’ll be so lonely, you could die

Oh, and although it’s always crowded
You still can find some room
For broken hearted lovers to cry there in their gloom

Where they get so, they get so lonely baby
They’re so lonely
They’ll be so lonely, they could die

Why Do Fools Fall In Love – Frankie Lymon + The Teenagers – 1956

Ooooo wah, oooooo wah, ooooo wah, oooooo wah,
ooooo wah, oooooo wah, Why do fools fall in love

Why do birds sing so gay
And lovers await the break of day?
Why do they fall in love?
Why does the rain fall from up above?
Why do fools fall in love?
Why do they fall in love?

Love is a losing game,
Love can be a shame I
know of a fool, you see,
For that fool is me!
Tell me why, tell me why?

Why do birds sing so gay
And lovers await the break of day?
Why do they fall in love?
Why does the rain fall from up above?
Why do fools fall in love?
Why do they fall in love?

Why does my heart skip a crazy beat?
For I know it will reach defeat!
Tell me why, tell me why?
Why do fools fall in love?

1957 HITS ARCHIVE: That’ll Be The Day – Buddy Holly & The Crickets (#1 hit)

Well, that’ll be the day when you say goodbye
Yes, that’ll be the day when you make me cry
You say you gonna leave, you know it’s a lie
‘Cause that’ll be the day when I die

Well, you give me all your lovin’ and your turtle dovin’
All your hugs and kisses and your money, too
Well, you know you love me, baby
Still you tell me, maybe
That some day, well, I’ll be blue

Well, that’ll be the day when you say goodbye
Yes, that’ll be the day when you make me cry
You say you gonna leave, you know it’s a lie
‘Cause that’ll be the day when I die

Well, that’ll be the day when you say goodbye
Yes, that’ll be the day when you make me cry
You say you gonna leave, you know it’s a lie
‘Cause that’ll be the day when I die

Well, when Cupid shot his dart
He shot it at your heart
So if we ever part and I leave you
You say you told me, an’ you told me boldly
That someday, well, I’ll be blue

Well, that’ll be the day when you say goodbye
Yes, that’ll be the day when you make me cry
You say you gonna leave, you know it’s a lie
‘Cause that’ll be the day when I die

Well that’ll be the day, ooh hoo
That’ll be the day, ooh hoo
That’ll be the day, ooh hoo
That’ll be the day

Claudette-Everly Brothers

Oh, oh Claudette
Oh, oh Claudette

I got a brand new baby and I feel so good
She loves me even better than I thought she would
I’m on my way to her house and I’m plumb outta breath
When I see her tonight I’m gonna squeeze her to death

Claudette
Pretty little pet, Claudette
Never make me fret, Claudette
‘Cause she’s the greatest little girl that I’ve ever met
I get the best loving that I’ll ever get
From Claudette
Pretty little pet, Claudette
Oh, Oh, Claudette

Well I’m a lucky man my baby treats me right
She’s gonna let me hug and kiss and hold her tight
When the date is over and we’re at her front door
When I kiss her good night I holler, “More, more, more”

Claudette
Pretty little pet, Claudette
Never make me fret, Claudette
‘Cause she’s the greatest little girl that I’ve ever met
I get the best loving that I’ll ever get
From Claudette
Pretty little pet, Claudette
Oh, Oh, Claudette

When me and my new baby have a date or three
I’m gonna ask my baby if she’ll marry me
I’m gonna be so happy for the rest of my life
When my brand new baby is my brand new wife

Claudette
Pretty little pet, Claudette
Never make me fret, Claudette
‘Cause she’s the greatest little girl that I’ve ever met
I get the best loving that I’ll ever get
From Claudette
Pretty little pet, Claudette
Oh, Oh, Claudette

Mmm-mmm Claudette
Oh, Oh, Claudette

Everly Brothers – Bye Bye Love – Original HQ Audio

Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think I’m-a gonna cry-y
Bye bye love
Bye bye sweet caress
Hello emptiness
I feel like I could die
Bye bye my love goodbye

There goes my baby with-a someone new
She sure looks happy, I sure am blue
She was my baby till he stepped in
Goodbye to romance that might have been

Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think I’m-a gonna cry-y
Bye bye love
Bye bye sweet caress
Hello emptiness
I feel like I could die
Bye bye my love goodbye

I’m-a through with romance, I’m a-through with love
I’m through with a-countin’ the stars above
And here’s the reason that I’m so free
My lovin’ baby is through with me

Bye bye love
Bye bye happiness
Hello loneliness
I think I’m-a gonna cry-y
Bye bye love
Bye bye sweet caress
Hello emptiness
I feel like I could die
Bye bye my love goodbye

Bye bye my love goodbye
Bye bye my love goodbye

Sea Cruise-Frankie Ford-original song

Old man rhythm is in my shoes
It’s no use to sittin’ and a-singin’ the blues
So be my guest, you got nothin’ to lose
Won’t ya let me take you on a sea cruise?

Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Won’t ya let me take you on a sea cruise?

Feel like jumpin’ baby won’t ya join me please?
I don’t like beggin’ but now I’m on bended knees

I got to get to rockin’, get my hat off the rack
I got to boogie-woogie like a knife in the back
So be my guest, you got nothin’ to lose
Won’t ya let me take you on a sea cruise?

Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Won’t ya let me take you on a sea cruise?

I got to get to movin’, baby I ain’t lyin’
My heart is beatin’ rhythm and it’s right on time
So be my guest, you got nothin’ to lose
Won’t ya let me take you on a sea cruise?

Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Won’t ya let me take you on a sea cruise?

Feel like jumpin’, baby won’t ya join me please?
I don’t like beggin’ but now I’m on bended knees

Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Oo-ee, oo-ee baby
Won’t ya let me take you on a sea cruise?

It’s All In The Game – Música

“It’s All in the Game” was a 1958 hit for Tommy Edwards. Carl Sigman composed the lyrics in 1951 to a wordless 1911 composition titled “Melody in A Major,” written by Charles G. Dawes, later Vice President of the United States under Calvin Coolidge. It is the only No. 1 single in the U.S. to have been co-written by a U.S. Vice President or a Nobel Peace Prize laureate (Dawes was both).
The song has become a pop standard, with cover versions by dozens of artists, some of which have been minor hit singles.
Edwards’ song ranked at No. 38 on Billboard’s All Time Top 100.

It’s All In The Game – Tommy Edwards 1958

Many a tear have to fall
But it’s all in the game
All in the wonderful game
That we know as love

You have words with him
And your future’s looking dim
But these things
Your hearts can rise above

Once in a while he will call
But it’s all in the game
Soon he’ll be there at your side
With a sweet bouquet

And he’ll kiss your lips
And caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly
Away

(Soon he’ll be there at your side)
With a sweet bouquet
Then he’ll kiss your lips
And caress your waiting fingertips
And your hearts will fly
Away

Tutti Frutti – Música

“Tutti Frutti” (meaning “all fruits” in Italian) is a song written by Little Richard along with Dorothy LaBostrie that was recorded in 1955 and became his first major hit record. With its opening cry of “A-wop-bop-a-loo-bop-a-wop-bom-bom!” (a verbal rendition of a drum pattern that Little Richard had imagined) and its hard-driving sound and wild lyrics, it became not only a model for many future Little Richard songs, but also a model for rock and roll itself. The song introduced several of rock music‘s most characteristic musical features, including its loud volume and vocal style emphasizing power, and its distinctive beat and rhythm.
